Description
Junior Client Accountant – Virtus Advisory Services
Don’t be fooled, Virtus Advisory Services (VAS) is not your typical public practice group. Born out of a need to work more closely in assisting entrepreneurs, non-profits, and specialized practitioners, VAS becomes an extension of each organization or business it works with by providing outsourced day-to-day accounting services. We like to think of our entity as the cool younger sibling of Virtus Group with opportunities available in both Saskatoon and Regina. While still providing an exceptional service to its clients, VAS remains separate from Virtus Group’s mainstream of services.
Why Work with Virtus Advisory Services?
Our priority is helping people. As part of our team, you will help clients achieve the full extent of success. You will be:
- Encouraged and supported to learn, grow, and innovate to reach your career aspirations.
- Work with a fun, collaborative, and innovative team of professionals who cultivate a rewarding environment.
- Surrounded by peers who are experts in their fields and will help you overcome any challenges you encounter.
We provide an exceptional total rewards package that includes competitive compensation, healthcare benefits (including a wellness plan), pension plan, vacation and personal days, parking, and ongoing professional development to support you in achieving your goals.
True to our innovative spirit, we offer flexible work arrangements to meet your home, lifestyle, and career goals.
What is the Position?
As a Junior Client Accountant, you’ll be responsible for managing the financial records and transactions for multiple clients. Specifically, you will help our clients by:

- Preparing, calculating, and filing GST, PST, T4, T5, and ROEs;
- Managing the end-to-end payroll process;
- Supporting year-end compliance; and
- Completing month-end close out.
In addition to delivering on the above, our Junior Client Accountant will be comfortable in a paperless environment and utilizing a variety of technological solutions to improve efficiencies. Continuous learning and development is an important aspect of this role.
We’re looking for students who can start full-time in January 2026.
This may be the perfect opportunity if you:
- Currently completing or recently graduated with a Bachelors in Business/Commerce (accounting major) or Diploma in Accounting;
- Previous experience in accounting, gained through a co-op work term or internship, will be considered a valuable asset;
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced, supportive, team environment;
